Happy V-day

So really I think that Valentines is just a Halmark holiday. If you love someone you should let them know everyday not just emphasize it on one day. Who needs chocolates that my butt will thank me for later or stuffed animals at my age? My husband thinks differently. He called me up at work and told me that I needed to kill 15 minutes before arriving at some spa place. He does these special little treats for me all the time. While out running errands, he will stop by and schedule an eyebrow waxing or nails or something fun like that that I actually need. So I go to this place and get pampered and when I get home i'm already dreading that I have to clean up the kitchen before I start dinner just like any other day.....Well to my surprise my sink is EMPTY! Counters are CLEAR. So unheard of. BEST PRESENT EVER!! Since they all surprised me with all these wonderful gifts, I surprised them with a special treat.....

Life AND my bowl of cherries

I've decided to make this blog mostly for myself. I wanted to keep track of lifes little quirks, funny things my kids do and just my life in general.

I've been married to my high school sweet heart for nearly 10 years. If you ask me he is the best thing I got from that "christian" school. We were married on July 13, 2001. Of all the days it was Friday the 13th! One day he came home with a dozen roses and said lets do this! Um if thats not one of the most romantic things ever then I'm not sure what is. When you know, you KNOW, right? Being together so long I think we've managed to make it thru everything.

Together we have 3 amazing little boys. Well they aren't so little anymore. Our oldest, Jeffrey who will be 11 next month is the brightest 5th grader I know. That kid has my heart maybe because his witty humor or maybe just because he is just as big a smartass as his mom.

Then there is my little Riley. My little 8 year old. If you want to hear a story, this is your kid. Always has something interesting to talk about. Just make sure you have a few extra minutes because he is definately a chatterbox.

Jacob. What can I saw about this kid? Well he is the only 3 year old that I know that will just melt your heart with his smile yet has that devious side too. But how can you be angry with this little guy? Its nearly impossible especially when he says "I'm torry, Mommy"

AND THEN.....God blessed us finally with the little Princess we have been longing for. After Jacob I already gave up on the idea of a little girl. But God sure showed me. He definately knows the desires of our hearts when He gave us our Rebekah. Almost 2, she knows who runs the show in this house. She lets me think its me but in reality its her.

Now I sit back on my couch, while I am surrounded by crazy madness. Kids running around screaming, school, lunches, football practice, play dates, crying at all times of the night and think that God knew what he was doing all along when he gave me everything I ever wanted.

Or maybe He just has a sense of humor :)
